Parliamentary candidate Siye Abraha took his campaign to Temben, Tigray, where he was born, to deliver the fiery message of the opposition Medrek party.
Several thousand from Temben and the surrounding villages showed up to hear Siye, who has served in the government as defense minister and the Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Democratic Party before joining opposition forces.
During his address, Siye repeated accusations he has made in Adua and Axum that activists from the ruling party have tried to disrupt gatherings where he has appeared.
