Parlimentary elections in Ethiopia, scheduled for 23 May, are less than 52 days away.
In this program broadcast in VOA Tigrigna, we interview opposition candidate Birhanu Berhe. He accuses the National Elections Board of holding up payment of campaign funds to opposition candidates, despite promises from the government that all candidates in the parlimentary race would receive campaign funds.
"With one month left for the election, the government is still refusing to release the campaign funds," says Birhanu, who is vice chairman of Arena-Medrek, a major opposition party in Tigray region and part of the nationwide opposition coalition, Medrek.
Program features audience questions with host Tewelde Weldegebriel and reporter Girmay Gebru.
