The VOA Tigrigna program's "People to People" feature spotlights the friendship between two men, which was disrupted by war. Ethiopian Temesgen Hagos and Kibreab Abraham, an Eritrean, were long-time and close friends. But, according to the pair, the Ethio-Eritrea war (1998 to 2000) and the tension between their respective countries compelled them to keep their distance. Nevertheless, their friendship was not diminished by the political pressures. In a conversation with VOA reporter Betre Siltan, the two men describe how they came to terms with the situation, decided to renew their relationship and how the friendship between the two has now extended to their respective wives and children, as well.
